Chris Sumner is a senior cyber security strategist, specialising in quantitative data analysis, behavioural research and cyber security. He has authored papers and delivered presentations on these topics at leading security, psychology and machine learning conferences, attracting media attention from outlets including BBC, MIT Technology Review, Mother Jones and The New Scientist.
Mr. Sumner has a 19-year track record of building security programs, processes and services in large-scale multinational enterprise organisations. While at Hewlett-Packard, he created designed and kick-started a Big Data Security Analytics programme, developed a Security Business Intelligence reporting capability, and led the transformation of Product Security in to a data-driven programme.
Mr. Sumner co-founded the not-for-profit Online Privacy Foundation, serves on the call-for-papers review board for two leading security conventions, and has provided subject matter expertise for television documentaries and printed media articles.
Mr. Sumner holds a BSc in Computing Systems.
